Strength-Spotting Journaling
(When Your Inner Critic Is Loud)
A loud inner critic makes it hard to see yourself clearly. When it’s loud, it minimizes your strengths and magnifies your perceived flaws, focusing attention on what you lack rather than what you’ve already developed.
Over time, this distorts how you view yourself, making growth invisible and effort feel insufficient. Strength-spotting helps restore balance by gently bringing your attention back to the qualities you already carry.
Strength-spotting isn’t toxic positivity or pretending everything is perfect. It’s fairness, recognizing both your struggles and strengths, rather than letting self-criticism dominate the narrative.
Strength-spotting journaling practice:
•✍️ Step 1: Write down one recent (or past) challenge that you overcame: Big or small, something that stretched you.
•🔍 Step 2: Ask: “What strength did this require?” (Courage, patience, honesty, effort, adaptability, compassion, persistence.)
•🪞Step 3: Reflect on what this says about you: Not just what you achieved, but who you were being.
•💛Step 4: Let it land: Even if you notice resistance, you can affirm, “I don’t have to be perfect or have it all figured out to acknowledge my strengths. I’m allowed to be proud of myself.”
Your strengths don’t disappear just because your inner critic is loud. Strength-spotting is a wonderful way to shift your inner narrative. You can also start a mini strength-spotting journal in your phone.
✅ Action step: Today, name one strength you’ve shown recently, even if it feels small.

3 Teas To Boost Health 🍵✨
Tea is more than a comforting drink; it can be a simple way to support brain health, heart health, immunity, and inflammation control through naturally occurring plant compounds.
Here are three beneficial options:
🍃Green Tea: Rich in catechins like EGCG, which support brain function, cardiovascular health, and antioxidant protection.
🫚 Ginger Tea: Helps reduce inflammation, ease digestion, and support immune function, especially during stress or illness.
🌼Chamomile Tea: Known for promoting relaxation and better sleep, while also supporting mild anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits.
Drinking tea regularly can be a lovely daily ritual (especially in the cold months) that supports both physical health and emotional well-being (with hydration as a bonus).
✅ Action step: Have a cup of tea this week and notice how your energy, digestion, or stress levels respond.
