Monday Healing Moment: Releasing What You’ve Outgrown
Happy Monday 💛 Let’s begin this week by making a little room for who you are becoming.
Take a slow breath in. And a long breath out. Imagine your exhale creating space within you.
Now gently consider something that may no longer fit.
An old expectation. A belief about who you’re supposed to be. A habit that once protected you. A version of yourself you’ve been trying to remain loyal to but it just doesn’t feel right.
You don’t have to judge it.
There are things we once needed that we eventually grow beyond. Ways of being that carried us somewhere important but were never meant to carry us forever.
You are allowed to thank what helped you survive, belong, cope, or make sense of the world… and still let it go.
Imagine loosening your grip around whatever you’ve outgrown. Notice the space that creates.
Space for something more honest. More expansive. More aligned with who you are now.
Growth asks us not only to become, but sometimes to release.
As this week begins, let yourself move forward without requiring every past version of you to come along.
Take one more slow breath. Release gently on the exhale.
You are allowed to outgrow what once fit you.
Love, Lola Graham

The Lifespan & Healthspan Gap
Since 1950, the average lifespan has increased by over 25 years. This is great, but healthspan, which is the years you live free from disease, hasn't kept pace. The gap between the two sits at around nine years, meaning most people will live almost a decade of life with illness.
Chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes account for 71% of all global deaths and the risk of developing these increases with age. So it’s great that people are living longer, but it’s important to take steps now to lower your risk of developing a health condition.
This means that longevity itself isn’t the goal; rather, healthy longevity is.
So keep making beneficial choices now when it comes to nutrition, sleep, movement and your mental/emotional well-being. Those are the most powerful tools available for buying yourself more good years of health, not just more years.
✅ Action Step: Take a high-level overview of your nutrition, sleep and movement. Are you doing a good job with them? If not, what is limiting you, and what action can you take?
