Today’s Edition

This planet is vast, beautiful and every changing. 🌍
Just because the earth has gone through turmoil does not make it any less stunning or incredible.
You are the same; your past does not take away from how incredible you are right now.
Embrace all that you, you are worthy, you are enough.

🌱 Monday Healing Moment: Honouring Your Self-Evolution
Happy Monday 💛 Let’s take a moment to honour something powerful: the way you’ve been evolving.
Take a slow breath in. And a long breath out.
Let yourself arrive here, in this version of you.
Now gently look back, just for a moment.
At a past version of you.
Not to judge. Not to critique. Just to witness.
There was a version of you who didn’t know what you know now.
Who was doing their best with what they had.
Who was learning, adapting, growing… in ways you might not have noticed at the time.
And now here you are.
Different. Wiser. More aware. Still growing.
Self-evolution isn’t always loud or obvious.
Sometimes it’s quiet shifts:
The way you think.
The way you respond.
The way you care for yourself.
Let yourself acknowledge that growth. Even if it feels small.
You are not the same person you were. And that matters.
As this week begins, give yourself permission to keep evolving.
Without rushing it. Without forcing it.
Give yourself permission to not need to be who you were yesterday.
Each day is it’s own opportunity.
Growth is not a race.
It’s a relationship with yourself.
A tuning into your authenticity.
A discovery of what makes you you.
Take one more slow breath.
Honouring who you’ve been… and who you’re becoming.
You are allowed to grow at your own pace.
Love, Lola Graham

Meditation Changed Their Brain Chemistry 🧠
Can a week of meditation change your brain and blood chemistry? That is exactly what researchers at UC San Diego set out to test.
They followed 20 adults through a seven-day retreat that had lectures, group sessions, and around 33 hours of guided meditation. Before and after, they scanned participants' brains and analyzed their blood.
They found that in just one week, brain activity quieted in the regions linked to mental chatter, natural painkiller levels in the body rose, immune markers shifted toward a more balanced, adaptive response, and they had increased neuroplasticity.
Perhaps most surprising, the brain patterns observed after the retreat closely resembled those typically seen with psychedelic substances, but this was achieved through only meditation.
Participants who reported going deeper in their practice also showed greater coordination between different brain regions, suggesting the subjective experience and the biology are connected in real, measurable ways.
Now this was a small study of only 20 people, and it’s not realistic to meditate for 33 hours a week. But the results are interesting, it illustrates how deeply interconnected our minds and bodies are, and practices like meditation have a real effect on our biology.
✅ Action Step: Start with five minutes of meditation today, this could be just sitting silently focusing on your breath, using an app, following a guided video or whatever works for you. You don’t need an intensive retreat to begin experiencing the benefits.
