Today’s Edition

I think encouragement is important, and self-encouragement is too.
Start now by telling yourself even 1 small encouraging thing.
Like “I’m a freaking awesome and I can”
See, you’ve got it :)

Healing Doesn’t Mean Never Struggling Again
Sometimes we unconsciously imagine healing as a finish line. A place where we never feel anxious, overwhelmed, sad, triggered, uncertain, or emotionally messy ever again.
But healing usually doesn’t work that way.
Healing is not becoming a perfectly calm human being who never struggles. It’s developing greater awareness, support, resilience, self-understanding, and capacity to move through life with more care and flexibility.
There will still be hard days. Stressful moments. Emotional waves. Times where old patterns resurface or life feels heavy again.
That doesn’t erase your growth.
In fact, one of the biggest signs of healing is often not the absence of struggle, but the way you relate to yourself during struggle. Maybe you recover more quickly. Ask for help sooner. Notice patterns earlier. Offer yourself more compassion. Set better boundaries. Pause instead of spiraling.
Progress is not perfection. And healing is rarely linear because human beings are not linear.
Ways to support yourself through ongoing growth and healing:
•🌱 Stop measuring healing by whether you ever struggle again
•💛 Notice how your responses may be changing over time
•🧠 Remember that setbacks do not erase progress
•🫶 Focus on support and recovery, not perfection
•⏳ Allow yourself to be human while still growing
You do not need to become flawless to be healing. You are allowed to still be a person in process.
✅ Action step: Reflect on one way you handle challenges differently now than you did in the past, even if the change feels small.

3 Affordable, Healthy Protein Sources
Hitting your protein target doesn't have to mean expensive cuts of meat or tubs of powder. A lot of my clients assume eating enough protein is pricey (even going outside these days is expensive), but some of the best sources are cheap, simple, and sitting in the fridge aisle.
As a cheap human who loves to exercise and eat well, here are 3 staples I come back to again and again:
1. Egg whites: Lean, cheap, and close to pure protein. A carton of liquid egg whites goes a long way, and you can pour them into scrambles, omelettes, or I’ll pour a bunch in a pan with an over easy egg.
2. Cottage cheese: ½ a cup gives you 12-14g of protein; it's rich in the slow-digesting kind, and it works both savoury and sweet. My favourite is to make a pizza crust with it!
3. Tofu: an affordable plant-based option. It's a complete protein, low cost, and soaks up whatever flavour you cook it with. Press it, season it, and pan-fry, bake, or crumble it into a stir-fry; there are lots of great options.
✅ Action Step: Pick one of these and add it to your shopping list this week. Build a meal around it, and notice how easy it becomes to hit your protein target when the basics are stocked.
