A Healing Moment to Set the Tone for Your Week ๐Ÿ’›

Happy Monday! Letโ€™s start this week off a little different together. Letโ€™s begin with a shared healing moment, nourishing ourselves and claiming our energy.ย

Empowered. Rooted. Connected to all we are.

Linger on the words below, connecting with your inner spark. Whether the words take shape as imagery, speak through your body and emotions, or come alive with thoughts and meaning, this time is yours.

Take a nice deep clearing breath. Youโ€™re here and that matters.

See yourself standing at the beginning of a new week. In front of you is open space, unwritten, unshaped, full of possibility. As you breathe deep, you exhale and release expectations of what came before so that youโ€™re here, present in your potential.

Now, imagine a gentle light within you, warm, steady, and alive. This light is your energy, your life force, your essence. With each breath, it grows a little stronger. Not forced, just steady and true.

Feel this light radiating outward. It surrounds you, forming a soft but powerful field, protective, beautiful, and supportive.

With each breath, feel yourself nourished from the inside. Calm where you need calm. Strength where you need strength. Openness where you need possibility. Reconnected with your light, you remember your true state is love. You feel your self-trust growing.ย

You are powerful.

Let yourself imagine moving into the week ahead with confidence, quiet or loud but never pressure-filled. Youโ€™re grounded, protected, and supported. Youโ€™re cared for by your own light.ย

Take one slow breath. Savoring this moment and remembering that you can connect to your light any time youโ€™d like.

Love, Lola Graham

Encouraging News About Alzheimerโ€™s & Parkinsons ๐Ÿง

There have been encouraging developments about detecting neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimerโ€™s and Parkinsons before symptoms appear.

Both of my grandmothers suffered from neurodegenerative diseases, as have other family members, so seeing tests that can identify these diseases before symptoms appear, to me, is a great development.

Scientists at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have developed a test that can estimate when Alzheimerโ€™s symptoms may start up to 3 to 4 years in advance. This can help with designing more targeted clinical trials and implementing faster treatment plans.

For Parkinsons researchers in Sweden have found biological markers that appear during the earliest stages of the disease before major damage occurs in the brain, potentially decades in advance. This can also help with implementing early treatment.

โœ…Action Step: Exercise, sleep, and quality nutrition are three things you can work on now to help lower your risks of developing neurodegenerative diseases.

Glimmers of Joy:

A gentle prompt to help you create small feel good moments of beauty, appreciation, and delight.

Let yourself feel grateful for one simple pleasure, even if it feels ordinary. Ordinary joy still counts! A crazy thing happens as you let ordinary joy in, you start to see it everywhere. So, rejoice in your coffee, in a stretch that expands you, in the chirp of birds, and the water running from your tap.
